Here's the second edition of Corning's vision for the future of touchscreen technology. It is one of the more thoroughly explained and thought-through 'tech vision' videos to date.

Productivity Future Vision
Microsoft's future vision of Office.
This is very interesting. I dig a lot of the interactions happening here and the trend of different interactive devices and contexts immediately speaking with one another is dead-on. I can't wait for Microsoft to make one of these videos with real people doing real things— kids crying in the background, people arguing, in a rush to make a plane on time, playing extreme sports, at a hospital, etc.. This broadly painted future seems a bit sterile, with lots of interactive graphs and helvetica. I'm interested in seeing Microsoft really take a step back and redefine what it means to be 'productive' and not just try to make our social and work tasks more engaging and efficient. It's eye-opening to see the top YouTube comment "and what will the poor people get?".
Technology should avoid making us dull, lazy, and detached from physicality. It should really empower us in a way that allows us to be more free, creative, connected, and human— serving our wits and evolutionary capability, not in being a crutch that we won't be able to function without.

What drives us?
Another great RSA Animate video. This one is on the power of motivation and how the old carrot-to-horse profit model don't motivate workers nearly as well as granting them a sense of autonomy, mastery, and purpose.
Design for Emerging Markets

Robot Mannequins
The bridge between themepark robotics and our future at-home butlers may be this; robotic mannequins for selling us goods.
